I did so myself.
The reasoning for it is that i now find it unnecessary to keep up for a few reasons.
I've made several changes to certain story beats that won't match up with the short story.
There are several plots I'll be uncovering that just flat out aren't in the short story.
And most importantly, I don't want people to think that the entirety of the story is that short story, so I've decided to remove it.
I apologize for the inconvienence.
