HIGH FIVE, MAN! For my "style", I guess it really depends on the picture I'm working on (e.g. kawaii sparkly desu vs. too cool for words). Well, my interests are everywhere so that definitely plays a part as well. But recently I've had three people (like, within the last two months?) who commented on my supposed "style" and my mind was entirely confused.

I haven't really been drawing recently OTL I wanted to just draw tons of clouds and OCs and other pretty personal things this summer vacation (to make up for all those negative feelings during the school year :c), but ahh I'm trying to get through this last kiriban request slowly... it's a challenge though ahaha

Don't push yourself to draw! I usually find it easier to find inspiration by not drawing for a few days, but that's just me. u___u
I'm thinking i'll make a new account maybe next month. I'm trying to fix up a new art style, so i've been experimenting for awhile now. Idk, i think i'd hate myself after being absent from dA for so long without improving much.

wow, new style! are you sticking with anime?
just wondering, because I read a lot of posts on Artist Confessions@Tumblr of people who started out with anime and moved on to semi-realistic. they disliked it for having little variety, messed up anatomy, etc. and eventually moved on to semi-realism. Sure, it's admirable that they want to improve, but anime is stylized after all, and the anatomy's obviously not going to be 100% realistic. I think composition and colour use in drawings is more appealing/noticeable to the eye than anatomy skills anyways, haha. basic anatomy is important though XD;
anime is what really got me into drawing, and I can't just throw it away when drawing has become so important to me. u wu though I do occasionally draw from life for studies for fun. i think one can improve a lot from studying real things.
idk. ahhh I didn't mean to sound rude or anything with my unexpected speech; just my opinion after all!

Still gonna be anime, but hopefully more darker or bold IF THAT MAKES SENSE LOL. I tried moving on to semi-realism a few weeks ago, but I just couldn't get the hand of it. u__u It made me appreciate manga-styled a bit more since it was simpler bet it did help with anatomy. And I agree that composition and colors are more appealing.
Anime is what got me into drawing too haha. I think my problem is that i switch styles too often that i don't have any consistency SIGH. I'm at war with coloring tools atm.
And don't be sorry, i enjoyed reading it. uwu You have my thoughts exactly.
