It's all good! Got an offer from Oxford, but I'll pass on it for now. I finished my year with a 3.96 gpa! Got a job now as well! It's hectic, but I love it! Good to hear from you! How's things going for you dude?

Wow that's fantastic! And sometimes you need a break haha, that is nice and I hope your job picks up soon! What do you plan on studying at university when you do attend?

Things are good on my end, working on a project, working a job, and taking a summer class. Busy summer but it's keeping me on my toes!

Tbh, I don't think I am gonna go to Oxford. If things weren't as dangerous as they are now, I would consider it, but I ain't too keen in going to Europe with all it's problems right now.

Europe isn't as dangerous as the new would like to paint it. What we are seeing is the death rattle of ISIS, they are attacking europe to draw a response hoping that the governments of these nations will repress muslims in their country and launch military retaliations abroad. This radicalizes many and causes further turmoil but it is a clear sign they are losing. 

I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially in Oxford!!

Still, I have family over there. A cousin of mine goes over there quite often. He isn't going back until things calm down himself. I am staying stateside for now. I'd still get what I want where I am at, and I still have other opportunities here in the states now. Perhaps what you say is true, but all it takes is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I didn't grow up in one of America's most violent cities just to be killed by a terrorist in a land that isn't my home.

Very fair point haha, hopefully things will calm soon because I dont see ISIS lasting till the end of the year at this rate. But that is cool you have family in Europe! Have you had a chance to visit?

Unfortunately no. And I have family all over the place. Last I heard, I have a cousin in London (I think), a cousin in Germany (either Berlin or Hamburg), a cousin in Wroclaw, and a cousin in Moscow. My cousin in Germany was an Olympian with the Russian Ice Hockey team back in the 90's, if I remember correctly. If things get better, I may visit one day.

Haha yea you do! It's nice though, college is some of the best time you'll have. Now's the time to travel, make lifelong friends, and try new things.  That's why I'm in no rush to finish.

Oh well airbnb or couchsurfing are two really awesome ways to find places to stay that are free or extremely cheap.  Google flights is one of the best places I've found for finding flights, and some of the cheapest out of country places I've found are Cancun $300, Havanna $300, Colombia $550, Costa Rica $600, and a ton more! 

Like I went to Colombia over this last winter break and spent $1100 total for round trip airfare, 2 in country flights, and 2 weeks of stay!
