one day on 1989, 43 women suddenly became pregnant and gave birth, with no sign of pregnancy the days before. a billionare named Reginald Hargreeves adopted seven of the children and created the academy. these children that he adopted were special, as they had each of their own unique powers

I would sound like I've never heard of it if I only say "That's nice." Which I haven't really. But putting it to thought, feels like the genre's on the fantasy and adventure side.
But focusing on the 7 children, what are their abilities?

each of the children are numbered. they weren't really given names by their adoptive father, but rather their adoptive android mother
anyway, Number One is Luther (The Spaceboy). he has super strength
Number Two is Allison (The Rumor). she can manipulate a person into doing what she wants by saying, "I heard a rumor... that _____ "
Number Three is Diego (The Kraken). he has the ability to curve everything he throws, most preferably knives. he can never miss with this kind of power
Number Four is Klaus (The Seance). he has the ability to talk to the dead and make them have a physical state for an amount of time
Number Five (The Boy). he wasn't named, i'm not gonna spoil much huehue. he can teleport, and because of this he went through serious consequences
Number Six is Been (The Horror). he has a monster living inside of him and he could use it to attack others
and lastly, Number Seven is Vanya (the White Violin). her powers are actually very important to the plot, so i ain't spoiling it ;>
