Wonderful work of you as always! I'v been wanting to ask you a question for a while now, your latest work "hpider", how was the shot captured (the purple hue)? at what magnification?
I've been wanting to get into bug photography but my setup is bit hard to handle and I dont know how to approach bugs, they always run away...If I find one first.

First of all thanks for "watching" me . That picture is one of those "being at the right place and in the right moment", that spider was lurking around my laptop while I was browsing DA. I just grabbed my camera (with the macro lens), mounted the flash and the flash modifier I've made and started shooting. I always put the lens in manual and set it to the closest focus point where it gives a 1:1 magnification and then I just move the camera forward and back till I think the subject is on focus. If you are trying to shoot an insect your movements must be very slow and you have to try not to make any noise. That's how I do it, it doesn't work well everytime, but it's always fun. The purplehue is just edition, I played with white balance, levels, curves... always trying not to change the picture too much. Thanks!!

A bit on the colours section..how do you get these crisp colors in all your photos? may I ask what filters do you use?
I want to be able to capture beauty and vibrant feeling like your pictures.
One more thing about location of your shots, how do you plan them? do you go out specifically knowing the perfect shot? or is it just wandering?

well just playing with the vibrance and color balance in photoshop and tons of different techniques. what comes to filters usually just hoya ndx8 or hoya cpl. about the location planning just go wandering to places of interest and try to come up with an idea

Whaaaat? First of all, its not very bright to go on my deviant art account (which you know where am i from) and put a negative post about Gaza and palestine calling them dogs in your journal.
Here in my account i don't speak arabic, i didn't offend anyone or any religion, knowing the fact that i didn't even mention culture in my page, you know that i want this to be a non racial page. So if you put this journal this means your offending me.

I know that you are from Saudi Arabia, but unfortunately, you are the member of this group (link), a lot of politics inside... This is how I found your account.

I'd like to tell you just one thing - learn to think by yourself, don't eat what others feed you, check on both sides, ask yourself questions. I know you can do it, I see it in your works.

Furthermore, I invite you to visit in Israel, be my guest and you could see by yourself that we are not that scary and disgusting.

Regarding the dogs...You tell me how to call people, because of them, children of your age and younger suffer from serious nerve disorders etc.

I am sorry I raged a bit, I wasn't expecting such a calm reply from you.
I am not biased against Israel, but it I can tell you that a lot of Israeli people I met were not so kind with me, maybe I just met the wrong side, or whatever. I know both sides stories but I don't like the whole deal of "sides" can it just be cool? I understand you, and I agree with you a person has to direct his own path.
