just curious, when you take your photos, do you tell the model how to pose? or do you let them do whatever they want?

I have a photo-shoot coming up soon (im the model) and I want to know what I should do

First off, thank you.
Usually it's a mix of both. I give the general pose and feeling I want the photo to evoke and from there they pose how they like. If I see an opportunity for a good photo, I direct them how to pose (to an extent.)
So the ideas on how to place the model's body come both from the photographer and the model.
