Yes haha XD I actually use to be really against digital art and I am still very iffy about it. But right now I really need to learn how to color better lol XD and since digital art gives you all the colors and tools you can use over and over again with very little money cost I've been using digital to learn how to color. Sadly I don't have enough money for copics right now but if money wasn't an issue I would choose traditional over digital any day haha XD. But one this I will always stay traditional is my manga!

Totally understand you man! Even after using digital for over a year now, it's still a bit hard to draw on a tablet..though yeah, you do get a lot more for coloring cheaper, however, like you said trad any day over digital XD and same for me about the manga, I just can't draw it digitally, tried it much and was just like screw this lol besides, trad manga looks better anyways XD

Yeah haha. Right now i'm learning how to paint and dang haha if i had to buy all the supplies it took to do the painting i am doing right now i would be debt lol XDD but when i color or paint digitialy i try my best not to use the short cuts they make so that way it feels as traditional as possible and so i don't get dependent on these digital cheats/short cuts. The only one i uses while coloring line art is the magic wand and the bucket tool lol

Lol I use the magic wand tool a lot too, makes coloring much faster. Digital painting is much harder than if you just cel shaded it (like anime style coloring), so good luck dude!

Hey, it's taken me a ridiculously long time to put this together, but I've finally finished that one-shot I was telling you about. Thank you again for agreeing to review it for me, I really appreciate it. I've already had one guy explain to me why he thinks it totally sucks - a sentiment which, in the strive for self-improvement (and I assure you with as little self-pity as is possible), I pretty much agree with - so please don't hold back on my account. Ok! So I read it! When I read it I felt the character interactions were done well. When reading the flow of the story had a good pace and felt pretty natural. So it was a good read all together. Here are some cons. The story seemed it would've fit better as a fist chaper begging a long term series. This one isn't something to fret about to much cause short storys are a pain to write well with such a short page limit. The one thing I felt was the biggest downfall was the art. I could go and critique every last thing you could improve on art wise but im not haha cause the more you practice the better you will get! Plus most people with your art level wouldn't be able to even finish a short story so I give you props for completing it! My first manga I didn't even pen it haha. I feel if you practice harder then you ever have in your life and truly push yourself to your limits you'll have yourself a quality oneshot in a year. Thats my estimation based off of my experience. Well I hope this helped in some way 0.0 and once again its impressive that you finished it nice job man! Oh and one other thing! I felt your backgrounds were done well for your art skill!

Thank you for going through it, I'm trying to take on as much advice as I can get. It's funny you should say that about it suiting a series rather than a one-shot, I've had this story in mind for about four years so even in finalising this piece I've thought up loads of ideas that'd be cool for a series, and I think that was one of my problems; I'm so invested in the characters and the finer mechanics of the Orders and Enma that I couldn't really step back and look at it on a smaller scale. I've started planning my next one-shot already, and I don't think I'll have that kind of problem this time. As for the art I totally agree, and I hope working on another project rather than individual pieces will make it easier to practice dynamic interaction. Even if it was just an estimate, I'm going to make your 'quality one-shot in a year' my goal; I've got a lot of work on almost solidly for the next four months, but I'll be putting all of my effort into making something ten-times better!!

I did it traditionally. I used a zebra g-pen and a zebra maru pen. Most of my colored works are digital though. But I only do manga traditionally.

That's awesome, thank you for telling me. I actually just bought those from Amazon. <3 I really love traditional media too, and I'm more comfortable with it. It's tougher, in many ways, but obviously worth it. Your manga is amazing!!Β
