Yeah, I feel ya. All I've been able to throw up is sprite work for now. Hopefully I'll be able to get my butt in gear and do something for actual art too, especially seeing as my dA anniversary is once again closing in.

Well in my opinion sprites are 'actual art' just as much as anything else - don't diss your talent like that lol
I've tried making sprites in the past so I know they still take a lot of time and attention to detail.
That being said, yeah you definitely should explore your other art interests too when you can, the more diverse your portfolio is, the better - but don't feel like what you're doing at the moment is a downgrade in the process~

Nah, not at all! I guess I'm just putting it like that because I haven't made something that speaks "worthy of effort" or something like that yet. And I understand what you mean by that. To be fair, I used to do some sprite stuff, so it's not completely unfamiliar. Just a new style of doing it, I guess.
