My pleasure! Although, are you still drawing?

Yes and no... I still draw when I can. I am currently busy being a dad, plus I haven't had time to set up my computer and scanner. 1 yearold are...labor intensive

I see. Indeed, raising human offspring is quite a challenge, even though I have yet to experience such things. I'm just too lazy to set up a true scanner arrangment. I just plug my macbook right into the house printer.

The resolution on the combination units isnt high enough for me. So I use a epson flatbed to get the dpi I require.

Well, I've set the scanner to the highest resolution it can go with reasonable scan time. Hmm, perhaps I should look into something similar. Based on the digital quality of my drawings, do you think I should invest in a dedicated scanner?

Right now, looking at your work, the mfp scanner is ok. You have a pretty decent grasp of drawing in 3d, angles and such. The digital work looks good and cool 3d prints. All my art is pen and marker. Using a .005 to ink it, I tend to go nuts with fine detail. Which is why I need such higher resolution. For straight HB pencil, what you have works. Refine it, try different lead weights. Like a h2 or h4, maybe a b2 lead weight. Then you may find the resolution will need an upgrade. Keep drawing. Every sketch is a learning experience. I sketch in pen now...it kinda makes sure you dont screw up, no eraser

Thanks? Well, I certainly have been working on perspective. I assume you're talking about the pictures of local scenery? Yes, 3D prints are fun. I actually intend on making my own digital model of one of my drawings and printing it out. Strange, I certainly thought some of them were purely pencil. I'd probably fit more detail in my drawings if I had a thinner diamter of pencil graphite to use. Well then, perhaps I'll investigate those options. Indeed, every drawing is a new experience. I'm afraid I don't have the confidence to draw anything serious in pen, I'd probably mess up early on.
