Deviantart is a social networking site, sorry to bust a nut in your OJ. True deviantart originally started out for art, but I've learned in the past two months that no one especially the owners really care about art. They want users to pump up traffic and make them money. So, they don't really care 90% of the time what people do or what they post unless it's so offensive it causes a stir.
I know this for a fact, because I'm an asshole.

About the gallery thing: That's actually the first time your words hit me. How dare you accuse me of drawing furries? Never have I done this! If you're referring to my "What is this I don't even..." folder, I hope you have the brains to figure out that it's not really a collection of my favourite art. The meme was supposed to be an ID image, but since you can't upload these separately, it ended up in my gallery. I never said I hated memes either. They just get pulled out of context too much.
Apple and Disney (and many many others) are not evil because they're good at anything (I mean, Tangeled was horrible, so is the iPad) but simply because they're rich. Another reason to accuse you of being a herd animal.
Little side note: Disney has never limited itself to making kid films. When Snow White was show in cinemas for the first time, you had to be 14 years old to see it. Hell, if it weren't for Disney, there would never be a Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction film.

I haven't drawn an anime character in several months actually. Sorry though, but drawing anime really doesn't count considering that it IS a valid form of art. I could go to college and get credit in manga studies and cell shading art. That being said, I could just as easily say that I draw scenery like most of this website, or I paint animals. My art is individual in that I rarely if ever draw fanart and come up with my own designs. It's anime style, oh well, I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z. Problem? This, and I actively practice multiple styles when drawing. I've had this account for a year now, and the rate of improvement is monumental. All of this, done in a year compared to your four.
The Mononoke picture is arguably not anime as Miyazaki's art is so passionate that people recognize him not as simply a movie maker but an animation legend. There are museums created for his work, and almost all of his shows have received A-list dubbers. He writes and adapts stories beautifully and flawlessly. A great man in all communities.
