Yeah, I do when I can... just haven't had the opportunity to get much done lately.
I had to get a lot of crap in order for the comic expo I attended last month, and then shortly after that
I got REALLY sick. So, I've just been resting, but will definitely get back on the creative horse once things
straighten out with my mental and physical state.

I have a few things in mind for the near future. A couple traditional pieces, and then I'm gonna be aiming a lot
of my focus towards my music again. Remember to check in frequently on my SoundCloud account too for the music
updates(soundcloud.com/ian-j-snyder) .

Damn it seems EVERYBODY has been busy including me. I've had so much college work it's been intense, I'm hoping to do well in these 2 years so that I can get into a history degree in university, so everyday of the week I've pretty much been in college from 9 till 6 doing work as well as extra revision so I know it all :/ so not had much time for coming on here or anything.

Hey, all it takes is getting your technique down through the repetition of practice(sorry if that made it sound boring ).

All you have to remember is, make sure you are giving yourself room to have fun with it. That's been my mistake lately(to say the least),
letting too many other people's opinions about what I should and shouldn't do, cloud my true feelings as to why I love doing this stuff
in the first place. I truly believe that ART is ALL ABOUT freedom and self-expression, and when we start to lose focus of that, because we're
too busy wasting our time worrying about what others might think... it no longer becomes fun.

Keep on doing what you're doing, and the rest will work itself out!

It's the truth. Before I didn't like to hear that, because I wanted an easy "quickfix". But now I know that it's actually true xD And I met a wildstar dev at Gamescom this year, and he said that, if you want to be a concept artist (which is my ultimate goal as of today), then you have to draw every single day. And so I'm working on that. Even if I only get the time for one shitty-looking sketch ^^

Yeah. I kept comparing myself to other artist who are "pro", and it totally killed the fun. Because nothing I ever did was nearly as good as the art they made, and I didn't have the same art-style as they have. And that shouldn't be what art is about.

Yep... it definitely takes time.
I get WAAAAY too many people asking me to "teach me to draw like you do".
Yeah, like it takes one night to get it all down or something. I say, "Got thirty years to spare?"
Shit, I've been illustrating for over 30 years now, and I'm still not where I NEED to be!
Just like everything else, it takes time and effort put into it to get anywhere.

And, there is NO point in trying to draw like anyone else... they're already doing it!
There's so much diversity out there, and that's what I love about the true world of art.
If everybody did everything the same way... Goddamn that would be boring!
Imagine if someone came up to you and said that you could only have
one band/musician to listen to...
only one movie to watch...
only one TV show to keep up with...
only one book to read...
...FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! You'd probably tell them to go fuck themselves, right?
Well, that's the way I feel when someone tells me to only draw or make music a certain way. NO WAY!
