I was just thinking about you the other day. Remembering when I stopped by Minneapolis on my wqay to Utah and we had such anice time going to the Mall of America.

My birthday was good - 55 now - how did that happen?

Thanks so much for asking. This month is going to be the worst one since April I think, Karl's birthday followed immediately by Valentine's day. Plus the heat pump broke, the car heater is intermittent, we are 6 weeks or more behind at work due to losing two of the four people in my department (one on medical leave and one didn't return from maternity leave). Oh and the estate hasn't been settled yet at all, so no money from that quarter yet either. So I'm feeling a little stressed (well maybe more than a little). But I can get through this too. On a happy note, I'm supposed to have another solo show, possibly in May dates aren't firm yet. And my dog still loves me. Amazing how much of a comfort he is.

My Christmas/New years wish for you is happiness and love. Please tell the ones you love how much you love and appreciate them everyday. It is something you will never regret doing. The last conversation I had with my beloved, I told him that (as I did every morning before going to work) and knowing he knew how much I loved him helped sustain me through the funeral.

Art school is going really well. I've finally hit my groove this semester and I think I'm steadily getting better with every assignment. And I'm much faster too which make me stress less because deadlines don't feel so impossible.

Sometimes I get kinda lazy about doing my independent anatomy studies and paintings when the assignments are pouring in. I need to get better about that. I shouldn't do JUST school assignments.
