So I dunno where the thread of our discussion on D&D classes for new characters I am creating went, but bearing in mind your suggestion of Azure being rather fitting of a Paladin class, I started thinking about other factions and warriors throughout history. And one in particular came to mind thanks to the most recent Assassin's Creed game. Origins. The Medjay of Egypt.
Now I don't know how much of Azure's story you're familiar with but I feel like the Medjay are the perfect historical analogy to his herd as far as my canon goes. The Medjay wereΒ an elite paramilitary police force, serving as desert scouts and protectors of areas that the Pharaoh ruled over. In a similar fashion, in my story regarding the Avea (Or Nights as they'd later be called) they were natives to the Everfree and would serve a similar function to Equestria. Protectors and scouts. Kind of like mercenaries or bodyguards. Since we learned early on that Equestria didn't have a military in it's old days, much like the Medjay, the Nights served as the sort of surrogate police/guards. They were nomadic by nature of course and had a very war based culture, being excellent soldiers and defenders. And in a sense, like the Medjay, the Nights served to protect the interests of a ruler. Their's being Luna rather than Celestia as they saw her as a goddess, much like how the Pharaoh was said to be a god in human form. They patrolled the lands and dealt out justice. Like the Nights, the Medjay were effectively disbanded or eradicated. With Azure being the last of this line.
I bring this up only because I am replaying Assassin's Creed Origins and after looking into the historical aspects, particularly the Medjay, I found myself almost laughing at the similarities between my story of Azure and the Nights as well as the Historical relevance of the Medjay. There are of course differences, but the core aspects of both were so similar that I was fairly amused at how, without realizing it, I created a sort of allegory or ponification of a real world clan/culture that before hand I was unaware of. Not saying that there weren't others that were similar as well in our history but again, it was rather surprising that the more I researched, the more I connected dots. In my attempts at being unique, I was drawing inspiration (unknowingly) from real world examples. Funny how that happens isn't it?

I mean, character sheets for RPG are usually complicated and detailed, aren't they? Fantasy world or not, there is a lot to account for the more and more one thinks about it.
If I were to take a guess, I'd be that it's not for everyone. Same reason why not everyone plays Dark Souls. Not every soul out there is gonna be attracted to a "Gitting gud" experience.
Currently I'm doing an D&D tabletop game over Discord with some folks I know and I'm having a blast. Yes, the character sheet and stats are complicated and take a while to complete but I had fun filling them out, writing a backstory, and then finally playing.
I couldnt fill out your character sheets because there wasnt enough information. So far I have protagonists and antagonists with numerical stats and where the skills go, but thats it.
That actually brings me to a question. Have you ever done a KoH RP before?
