i had a feeling it was home made since ive seen a nice handful of well made created from scratch cosplays during my time going to cons.
though the prosthetic mouth feet and hands definitely made it a heck of alot closer to the character.

I actually use liquid latex on top of polyurethane foam coz' I don't know where to get foam latex from nor know how to use it.

Foam latex is very challenging to work with and very very time consuming(among other things XD), but does give fantastic results once you get it right.
I get my foam latex from [link] and the brand I use is GM Foam (best company IMO). ^^

Problem is I'm a UK resident so I try my best not to have to rely on US sites too much. But what's the life span of foam latex? Coz' I've seen plenty of old werewolf costumes and props from movies get ruined with age.

It can last several applications if you are very very careful taking it off and take extra care in how you store it. This really all depends on what kind of project you are doing with it. If it is something that requires you to blend mask lines because of placement you might not get as much since you won't get as nice thin mask lines each time you use it. For me, this isn't a huge issue since I make my own molds, run my own foam latex, and become very good at getting consistent runs. Foam latex isn't the most practical material but it gives such great results, it can breathe, and you have lots of choice of how you want to paint it/add stuff it. Unfortunately, it is very hard to work with, it can get pretty expensive, toxic fumes, and many other quirks about it. I would also think there would have to a supplier in the UK for the stuff(hopefully >.>).

Unfortunately the UK sucks for art-supplies...why do you think the amount of high-quality costumes from the UK is so small? If we all had direct access to the stuff the US has then we'd have more UK commissioners.

Toxic fumes wouldn't be any good for me then because I don't have a big working space and an annoying niece who regularly visits and who's forever pestering me when I'm working or ruining my work when I'm not paying attention. It'd be too dangerous for her.

I know right!? I've played 1.0 since open beta and played alpha and beta for ARR, and the amount of work and changes madeto the XIV is amazing. Yoshi P. and his team are doing such an amazing job!
