Oh thats awesome! I get my license very soon, matter of months actually! Nothing too much has been happening... Um, I made the top band at our high school and we're going to Indianapolis is the newest thing. : ) I'm super pumped about it!

BOOM. FOOD. YES. I WILL CONTINUE WITH GOOD IDEAS IF I GET FOOD.
I'm going on a nervous rant here. If you don't want to read thats cool. Don't feel obligated to read this. Also I'm kinda having a panic attack. So for Wind Ensemble we went to Indianapolis as a featured band for this really prestigious music conference. (only 16 bands across the country get into the featured stage so that was a huge deal for a little sophomore like me) I roomed with 3 of my friends in our band and we hung out with my best friends (guys so I couldn't room with them obviously) but one of my friends told us that during our senior year we might switch from our current block schedule to 6-hour schedule. Now I was pissed about that because its less classes we can take and I have rearranged my junior year schedule to try and get in certain classes I REALLY want to take as a senior. But as much as it made me mad, I could deal with it. Then she told us that the school board might cut our band program. I don't know what I'll do if they cut band... Band is what keeps my heart beating... As cheesy as it sounds, I think the school board needs to listen to senior speeches that seniors give at band camp. Most of them say how band has changed their lives, helped pull them out of depression, or made them realize that suicide isn't the answer because in band they have so many people that care about them and will help them through it. I don't know how I'll survive my senior year if band is cut. I have major problems dealing with stress and anxiety and most things in life, but music gives me an escape and helps sooth me and I'm doing something I love with people I love and who care about me in return. If it gets cut I want to switch schools or do something because I will end up in a mental hospital or dead by the end of that year. And I told my friends this and they all agree. If that happens I don't know what I'll do and I'm so scared...

I feel bad I haven't read this sooner, I am so sorry. Between Lacrosse and school I haven't had a life... I feel bad now.
Honestly, I know what you're saying about Music is your life. That what riding is for me. Every moment I'm in the saddle is another moment where the rest of the world is cut out and I can feel alive. My dad always tells me he wants to cut me from riding but that would be like cutting my air. I'm sure band is the same way for you. Without the feeling of the wind in my face and the sent of horse around me, I feel like I'm lost, like I am a human without a soul. I feel like I might as well be somewhere else, not be her at all. I dream about the day I can drop the fear of not having the barn around and just have it, you know. I'm sure music is the same way for you. I would like it if you keep me updated on this.
