Wow, you're back - it is nice to hear you've returned to this little corner of the internet. I haven't been around this part of the internet too often in the past year - making the odd fleeting visit now and again. I've just caught up with your journals and it is saddening to hear the turmoil and stresses you've been through it is staggering humans can still do these things to each other - I may not be able to fully comprehend how things are or help out from the other side of the world I can only hope that things get so much better for you.
As for me, well things all dried up so long ago now, all creativity seemed to do a metaphorical runner and doesn't appear to be coming back which makes it all that much more difficult to contribute to this corner of the digital universe. It seems things have descended to some form of bare minimal plateau of functionality a routine of waking, eating going to uni, coming back and then sleeping repeat infinitum. But while it may seem a little bleak and empty at times it is a very stable and repeatable way of being no emotional ups or downs just neutrality. Admittedly this format does have some knock-on consequences but small sacrifices for banishing any sources of feeling which can mutate into the sort of things that fuelled the majority of the writing on here. A sort of automated emotive protection system, a little constrictive but effective.
But all of this naturally pales into insignificance when you consider the unimaginable challenges you have been faced with and it is wonderful to hear from you again, it had been a long time and it has been completely understandable knowing the circumstances - you are by far one of the most strong and resilient people I've talked to through all you've had to endure you're still here and fighting which is exceptional.

Things are as they always were here, weirdly I just came back from a creative sabbatical with newer stuff so that is a massive coincidence if ever there was one. I'm still as mad - if not more so - as I was before all that time ago and despite my temporary absence from writing things, still rambling on about the same old craziness.
But enough about me, that is far too dull, how are things in your world

It has been too long, but here well... Good time and bad times - in probably less than equal proportions but that is how life tends to flow at the moment, spent a while ranting in this corner of the internet as per normal just to vent the less than preferable thoughts.
But enough about my little often whiny microcosm, how are things for you as that is equally as important, and on top of it all many thanks for the watch - much appreciated.

Oh, you always entertain me so well. I'm fairly good, thank you for asking. This is my last summer that I will be a high school student. I'm graduating in a year and it scares every fiber in my body. My art is improving. I will be submitting a self-portrait I did two days ago. I'm quite proud of it. I'm copying my music to a hard drive to put on my new computer I got! I'm so excited to have a not messed up keyboard

Congratulations on graduation, and yeah it is going to be scary, my change from college to university was terrifying at times but you settle in once you become accustomed. Of course we the people of the internet will always be here just in case.
It's good to hear you are improving on your art, and a portrait eh, very interesting - never managed to conquer drawing myself - only working on using the words as they co-operate more.
A whole HDD for music, you must have loads of it, all of mine would fit on a minor flash drive - ah the minimalistic approach my life is based on

Yes, music is a large part of me. It's almost a savior, as cliche as that may sound. It especially helps with real dad weekends. Tunes out all the negative and helps me write my story I'm also working on

Well it may sound cliche but it is often the case, I may not have such a large collection but easily recognise it's importance. Certainly has made me a better person, but anything had to have been an improvement. Story writing you say, interesting, tried one of those once (well I refuse to class the project dead yet) managed a few chapters and than wrote the plot into a corner and can't figure out where it's going at the moment.

As weird as this may sound, I feel like my artworks and writings are my children. I created them, and that's what makes them special. Things that you want to have good quality should have hard work and quality time put into them. Rushing isnt really beneficial to me, but there are people who work best under pressure. Everyone is different

I can't say that I have the same connection to my attempts at art or anything, but I tend not to have a connection to anything to that degree. Most of my writing - of the poetic sort - tends to be written rather quickly, in the space of half an hour or so. Simply because of the way I operate, the pieces are designed to capture a moment in words and has to be written while the moment lasts which is often a limited window of time. On the other hand my story effort has been in production for years and gotten nowhere

I understand completely. And yeah, always do what feels right to you. Don't work in a way you don't feel would be beneficial. Do you enjoy the process and thought that goes into a work or the results? I'm more into results myself

True, not entirely sure it's right - some things I like to see more progress on, been a little too dormant but lack the knowledge and consequently the motivation to build the next chapter. Personally I do enjoy building them, manipulating the words and whatnot, but in other things like drawing and pictures of birds then the results do tend to take the greatest plaudits

I was on a boat trip round some Islands just off the coast north of here - where the pictures of the birds were taken, seem to have contracted some virus from the experience however which is not cool. That is an unprecedented degree of popularity, something I look up to in a rather confused manner. Don't worry about the timing, as you've noticed I'm not entirely punctual myself forever distracted by other things.
