there's a great sense of freedom in your drawings, that makes me want to relax more and pursue different things - especially with the way you use words/titles...there's something childish and playful but at the same time very focused, you seem to really know what you want to bring across with each image

I think about everything too much, except my work, which I try not to think about in case I don;t find anything there. But what you say does resonate with me. I didn't notice how much my style had developed until I joined dA - I forgot that I used to spend hours drawing childish pictures of superheroes and stuff, just because I loved how ridiculous it was (we're talking only a couple of years ago).

Was it a coincidence that you and ~Rumpilstiltskin both came to my gallery on the same day?

No coincidence, she introduced me to your gallery That's a wonderful manifesto, I've been trying to relax with drawing too, setting up too many impossible goals was becoming tiring. guess there is something to the deification of childish innocence after all heh

I draw for fun, it really takes the pressure out of it, and some how the images retain some artistic weight. That's not to say that I don't want to do more sophisticated work, just that I;m taking my time about it (:

yep, it's me, on both counts. Thanks, like your Onion film reviews. I used to write malta today's and always did them with a bit of a strain, yours are very tight and natural, keep it up. like your illustrations, there's something vulnerable abt them.

Thanks, glad you like. I used to strain at first to do them as well, and at times I still feel my Maltese to be more fluid than my English, but they do get better the more you do. I just try to remember not to imitate, but just to write whatever comes to mind. But anyway, met yr dad at Puerto Flamenco yest. nice to speak 2 u.

mah had seen The Beach (book is better ) and I need to stay indoors cos im recovering...haha Barthet assignment is just hell during the summer, it was such a relief to get it done...
