We're glad to have you as a member and look forward to seeing your contributions!
Β
We also hold a lot of contests with great prizes, so keep your eye out for them!
Β
We are currently holding a contest for prose and poetry with lots of prizes to win, including hundreds of Points, art, literature, and many features. The theme is βConfessions of a Kingβ and the full details are in the group blog. We would love to read your work if you are interested! The deadline is midnight on October 1st, but weβre always welcoming last minute entries.
Β
We also have a Critique Program for our members to submit to and receive detailed feedback on their work from our admin team.
Β
Weβre also helping to promote a program called Synergy, which is hosted by our affiliate, #Live-Love-Write . The Synergy program is designed to provide participants with somebody they can count on for help and readership. Participants are assigned in pairs and each member will tutor, inspire, critique, and help each other. Pairs will also be given a monthly challenge to collaborate together on; we keep the assignments manageable so they can be fun all the time. Signups will open back up in the beginning of October.

Yes, I have heard about fractals. I don't make them but they are fascinating. I like to imagine them as actual places with life on them. I know that's a little weird but...I'm an artist, I think weird.

Fractals reminds of nothing and, at the same time, everything
That's one of the things that make fractals so fascinating
I use to say that the fascinating thing with the era we are living in is, that the most psychedelic fuzzy and the most dry mathematic have taken an big embrace to each other. Fractal geometry is the math of the new science of chaos and complexity
Below some recycled info about fractals:
First: Check out the zoom sequences (only images) from page 4 in the pdf's [link] and [link] . The end motives are my deviations [link] and [link]
Second: In my journal [link] you have some links to short cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube
Third: If you wanna try some free simple fractal software, go to my journal [link] . You don't need to know the math behind
Fourth: Wikipedia has a nice site [link]
Fifth: Maybe you would appreciate my "Chaotic series of fractal articles" [link] if you have a little theoretical interest
.. and from the middle of the nineties there is a fantastic TV program about fractals, Colors of Infinity by Arthur Clarke
Hope you don't feel spammed

Thank you!I've always wanted to try my hand at this. The first two PDF links didn't work for me. Well, I got one to open as html without images. Maybe I need to update something. I love the videos! That is so hypnotic. It's just the most amazing thing! It is like the "thumbprint of God". I hope I can understand your articles since I never got beyond algebra. I'll try. Thanks again.

For sure you will succeed They didn't opened
Just tested and they opened fine. For some day the web server was down for about 12 hours, so try again
for sue you will understand my articles. For the math you only had to have a clue of "complex numbers". If not you will learn it in the second Intro. And not all of the articles are of mathematical nature (mainly 10 - 14). You probably know more about math in general than me
