European Green Lizard (Lacerta viridis, Ještěrka zelená) from zoo Praha, Czech republic.The biggest and in my eyes most beautiful Czech lizard - they can be 40 cm long and especially during the mating season, the male is wonderfully colourful
in zoo Prague, this lizard is kept in big new outdoor terrarium which is located on revitalized path through the zoo, called Zakázanka ("Forbidden route"). For me it was a thrill to photograph this fantastic lizard - even in captivity

i think where i live is the natural habitat to this beauty! i see them around once in a while, they are shy compared to normal lizards! but when it comes to self defense they are much stronger, it would never let a cat get it!
