Before even reading the title, I saw a dog in this photograph, with the man's head being the tip of the dog's nose and the shadows on either sides of his neck being the dog's eyes. Was this part of the concept, or a brilliant coincidence?

It is a raw masculinity, power and strength coming from this shot and same time it is all held back, contained. I like how the lighting adds shadows emphasising muscle definition. The reflection in the water makes it an unusual shot.

I really love the contrast and emotion of the piece. It's really powerful and compelling. Also, the reflection in the floor is fascinating and is subtle enough that you almost don't notice it, but it adds so much.

The reflection of his fistsadds a wonderful effect. and my goodness the shadows and curves of his shoulders and arms! its just such beautiful contrast and over all unity. I love how symmetrical and "in line" it all is. and i like how that symmetry was broken slightly bny the tattoo. love this, so emotional
