Description

The library was filled with chit-chat as the new recruits of Whitechurch Academy waited for the introductions to begin. The group was rather diverse, from all ways of supernatural life. Their chattering picked up when the doors opened and four men came in and moved towards the far end of the library.

"Wow, look at that blue hair, he's so cute!"

"Who's the daddy?"

"Ssssh, that's the headmaster and he's a wolf, he can hear you!"

Velkan could indeed hear the new recruit but chose to ignore him. He cleared his throat audibly and the group of young men and women in front of him quieted down, all eyes converging on him now.

"Welcome, everyone, to Whitechurch Academy. I promise this speech will be short as I'm sure you're all more interested in getting to know each other than us but some introductions are in order. My name is Velkan Ionescu, I'm a senior agent of the Whitechurch Society and your headmaster. If you have any questions concerning your training here, my door is always open. Except, when it's not. It's usually open though. Okay, that joke sounded better in my head."

"It always does," Jonathan said.

"This... charming... gentleman next to me is Jonathan Bouchard."

"Hi everyone."

"The witches among you will spend a lot of time with him as he is our instructor in witchcraft, spellcasting, summoning and banishment."

"We're going to have so much fun," Jonathan said with a smirk.

"I'd like to add that we're not liable for any accidents. Please sue him directly, not the academy... anyway... since we're on the topic of trauma, the gentleman with the striking hair colour on my left is Richard Alfarsi, he's the head of the department of history and diplomacy and also your guidance counsellor. If Jonathan traumatizes you, you can always knock on Richard's door to find some solace."

"Hi," Richard waved, desperately trying to suppress a chuckle, "most of what Velkan just said is true, however, you can also come to me with other worries than Jonathan's classes."

"I'd like to report that I'm being bullied," Jonathan said dryly.

"Please wait until my official office hours, I'm off the clock," Richard waited for the students to stop laughing before adding: "The latter part doesn't apply to you. If you need help, I'm always there for you. This is supposed to be a safe community space. If any of you are interested in music, I'm also heading the Academy music club."

"And he's performing at Folklores plus you can stream his songs on most common platforms. Wait, this turned into a kind of sales pitch. Ignore that," Velkan grinned. "It's pretty good, though. Anyway, thank you, Richard," Velkan gestured over to the side, "the stoic gentleman over there is Tariq Alfarsi. He'll be your teacher in self-defence, hand-to-hand combat and other painful activities. So, I'm apologizing in advance."

"It's not as bad as he makes it sound," Tariq said, winking at the crowd.

"The Whitechurch Academy is not liable for loss of arms, legs or possibly heads," Silence fell over the group in front of them and Velkan sighed, "I really need to stop making these jokes. They never land. To avoid making an even bigger fool out of myself: You're dismissed. Enjoy your day, get to know each other, make yourself comfortable in your rooms or explore the academy. Classes will begin tomorrow at 9 am sharp."

An updated version of the 2030 spin-off of the boys taking into account their updated designs. Jonathan now age 43, Velkan age 46, Richard is 32 and Tariq 35. A lot changes during those ten years and Whitechurch Manor is turned into the Whitechurch Academy, a place to train new recruits from all over Europe. With Velkan as the headmaster, who'd have thunk? ... It's insane, though, how good he looks with the salt-and-pepper hair and beard. Talk about a daddy, indeed.
