I faved this awesome pic some time ago, but I want to comment now... I finally reached this part in the anime too, after reading it in the manga, and what really made me sad and angry about his death is the whole "we must kill him because he's Roger's son"... such a great injustice coming from the ones who claim to care for justice more than anyone else is simply unbearable... Add to that the whole strain and suffering Luffy (and many other characters) put themselves through to save him, and the fact that Ace finally understood that living was a good thing, after all, only to die few moments later. ;____;
I'm still surprised about how much I care about the characters involved in this tragic event in the manga... it's fictional, but it hurts almost like it was real, maybe thanks to its deep symbolic meaning. I applaud Oda's writing and drawing skills for this, and even if I wished the story would have gone differently, and I still hope in a miracle of some sort (something involving Sabo, maybe?), I must say that the way the story went made the manga a masterpiece, if anything else was needed.
I hope One Piece will keep being this great until the end.

I get Oda's plan too, But why our beloved ACE-KUN?? Not to mention HOW! Most people didn't like AkaInu from the start, then he kills Ace when trying to kill Luffy!
And because Ace died to protect him, Luffy blames himself.
