Applied a texture layer to the stairs and desaturated colours
Desaturated colours of the model
Applied a b/w gradient map and sepia colour overlay to the sky, created a copy of the sky layer and blended with multiply.
Merged all layers and then applied a sepia photo filter.

Now look at here, this is pretty good work. you blended them well. congrats.
As what ~acidxmoose said, it looks to me you turned this into monochromatic image meaning only one color is significantly visible. For me that's ok as I have arts which has only one color; as with other deviant artist.
i think that's a good start. You can try variation of colors in your future works but don't forget your source and color of light should always be a major blending theme. Good luck!

i think it would have worked better if you had not desaturated it completely but instead reduced the saturation to a low value (without making it b/w) and then you could have done the everything else you did
I think the best picture you could make from this would be somewhere between this and the original. not too colorful like the original one but at the same time not completely the same color like this one
