East of Erebus County, out beyond Acheron Bay, there are a series of islands that sane sailors avoid like the plague. They are infested with all manner of monsters, miscreants, pirates, blackguards and villainous creeps. How many of these evil atolls actually exist has never been accurately mapped but here are some of the worst that we know of:

1. The Isle of the Dead- A sanctuary for a variety of undead fiends who spend their time plotting mayhem and ruin upon the realm of the living. At the top of this hierarchy of the expired is a cabal of sorcerous liches who burn with a fanatical hatred for those still alive. What’s their problem? Who knows?

2. Chateau of the Contess de la Luna- This islet houses one of the many villas of the Contessa that are scattered around Erebus County. She usually reserves this particular one for her most depraved soirees and decadent galas, far from the disapproving view of ascetic prudes and judgmental busybodies.

3. The Redoubt Cyrus the Pirate- If there is anyone who can be said to be in charge of this anarchic colony of rogues, scoundrels and malefactors, it’s this little corsair. He’s the kingpin of a vast network of criminality and black market vice which encompasses all of Erebus County and points beyond.

4. Monster Isle- This is the habitat for a horde of gigantic and predatory behemoths that have been deemed too dangerous to roam freely upon the mainland of Erebus County. They have been entrapped here by the combined enchantments of Dr. Gehenna, Prof. Abaddon, Ursula Dusk and Bella Tenebrea.

5. The Temple of Coatlique- A titanic fane dedicated to the worship of one of the most abominable mother goddesses known to man, the Devourer of Filth. Her blasphemous form is comprised of a ghastly conglomeration of serpents, bloody skulls, claws, and dismembered hands and hearts. The fanatical worshippers of Coatlique are inhuman wretches and completely insane.

The adventurers are sure to find a plethora of challenging exploits and formidable adversaries to engage with upon the Vile Isles. Those listed above are just a sampling of the perils that await any who are daring and audacious enough to brave these treacherous archipelagos. The dangers are exceedingly dire but the treasures to be obtained are well worth the many foul hazards.
