Description: The mainstay of Ye'Tulen armor. Though significantly lighter than most other factions Main Battle Tanks, The Howler more than makes up for it with its versatility and speed, with it able to significantly out maneuver most other main battle tanks. It's turret is interchangeable with several different types, and is unmanned. Meaning that the turret (where the armor is weakest) can be completely blown off with little danger to the crew or vehicle. And with it's automated loading system the gunner can sit comfortably near the driver and fire freely. The loading system for the main variant is deceptively simple, with each naquadah tip round loaded into a revolver like chamber which allowed each round to be pre-charged before firing, allowing the Howler to fire a round roughly every 3 seconds. The turret can also be overcharged so that three rounds can be fired within a second, though this tends to both damage the turret and drain the tank of previous charges. The standard configuration can carry up to 30 rounds of ammo, and an effective range of 20kms.
Missile Variant: With a simple change out of turrets at a nearby supply depot, the Howler can switch out it's 90mm turret for a missile launcher that can fire a sixteen missile barrage accurately over any terrain. The missiles come in various makes and models, from simple anti-fighter missiles, heavy bunker busters, cluster missiles that fire grenades down at their targets, etc, etc, etc. The tank can store up to 300 missiles and has an effective range of 900kms.
Anti-air/infantry Variant: The turrent in this case is a 20mm chain gun that fires either armor pierces rounds or HE fragmentation grenades with extreme accuracy. Originally meant to aid in denying air superiority from the ground, tests also showed that it is effective against light armor and infantry as well. The turret's computer, with the aid of the gunner, is able to accurately laying a layer of flack or steel in front of enemy fighters or bombers that are in low orbit.
Artillery Variant: Swapping out the 90mm cannon for a 120mm artillery mount, this variant of the Howler is meant to provide on site artillery cover for the Ye'Tulen forces. The cannon can fire several different kind of rounds meant to seriously damage heavier targets, or can fire cluster bombs to aid in infantry suppression.
