Description
I close my eyes
and the fear takes hold
The dream grips me in its embrace
Arms like steel rods

I am trapped

I scream and I fight
I try to claw my way out
But there is no way out

The road is laid before me
Its bricks yellow and shimmering with water
My legs are no longer under my control
I tell them to run in the other direction
Someone has chosen my path for me
All my bridges have been burned

I sleep perchance to dream
But every dream is a torture
I longingly await the final sleep
with no dreams to disturb my slumber
