I'm working on watercolor portraits for a few volunteers who kindly provided me with subject material to practice. I haven't painted in watercolor for almost 20 years so I'm very nervous and I'll ink the sketch with waterproof ink as a result. Normally I'd just go with the pencil, but I'm figuring I may have to do a lot of lifting and that often leads to muddy colors with graphite...Here's one of the sketches.
