It's the last day of voting for this year's NYX Face Awards, and it's made me think so much of the amazing Rachel Maksy and the amazing looks she created last year! If you're not familiar with them, the Face Awards are a makeup contest where some very talented artists turn out amazing makeup looks in response to a series of prompts in the hopes of winning the title of NYX artist of the year. I didn't know about them until last year Rachel Maksy (One of my very favorite Youtubers and an absolutely amazing creator and human) completed and won! I've very much enjoyed following them since (although I haven't seen anything else that rivals Rachel's genius yet ). This drawing is inspired by Rachel's second to last look from last year, Joan of Arc as a rising phoenix. Go watch the video , it's amazing!!
