Description
Her name means "the powerful." Wosret is another of my personal favorites. She was the first wife of Amun, but was superseded by Mut. According to John Ray, she is the "theological equivalent of the girl-next-door." She is seldom depicted in art, and has no identifiable temples. It could be that Mut was a later version of Wosret, but I stick to the story that she was basically 'put aside' by her husband; I think as I do because of my interest in social behaviors and the fact that Wosret is an example to women who have been abandoned by their husbands. She is depicted carrying weapons, connecting her with warfare; but she is also stated to have protected the infant Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris, when his life was in danger from his uncle Set.I used the Heroine Maker from Azaleasdolls.
