Description
another of those settings I have a long relationship with: San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge [link] where, for several years I was a volunteer docent.Much of the water of the refuge isn't open bay water but old diked-off salt ponds where bay/sea water was "captured" and allowed to evaporate, concentrating the salt %.
Visually, these ponds and the artifacts from earlier alignments and piers can create a surreal impression, often in a graphic silhouette image. There is always some degree of moisture in the air, adding to this impressionistic quality.
