Description
Quite a while ago, a hurricane hit the forest round where I live. Many trees bent over and snapped like match sticks. This is one of the stumps left over and now has this little tree, about 15 centimeters high, growing on top of it. The tinier one alongside is only about 15 millimeters high and as it stands amongst the huge trees that remained, it acts as some sort of reminder of what it will become one day. When I was taking the shot a couple of days ago, it occurred to me that even though the forest was almost completely quiet around these tiny little trees, the hurricane episode must have been the exact opposite. Hard to imagine.
