This flag was inspired by the symbols of the Duchy of Warsaw. The flag is based on the Polish flag and on the coat of arms of the Duchy. The Duchy was created by Napoleon as a satelite state. it was the first semi-independent state of Poland since its partition. The coat of arms are based on the Polish White Eagle and on the symbols of the Wettin family.
