Apo 2.08I was trying to go for some realism in a "aged pencil drawing" kind of way...
A basic spiral to finish out the year
Edit: the dilemma!
Now, in order to get the kind of texture I want, the "pencil drawing" kind, I get some aliasing...
So, go with a smoother render and lose that texture or keep the texture and deal with the aliasing...

Have you tried rendering it extremely large in lower quality, and then sizing down and sharpening?
I find that sometimes that's a lot easier and more productive than letting Apo do everything itself.
The piece stands on its own as is, of course.

The texture is great and I love how the B&W shows it off.

Wonderful! A signature spiral with a kick! (There are a couple of things you can try - and may have already - to maintain the texture with the look of a smoother render. I'll find you later, so you can tell me, "Yeah, I already tried that."
