Description Xenogenesis

Mommy would you love and tether
Me if my down evolves to feathers
And you see they're not like yours?
If I'm a sparrow, not a griffin,
Would you be frightened, would you stiffen,
If I can't walk on all fours?

I'm not even a decent flyer
But I wouldd set my tears on fire
If it'd mean kind words from you.
Does it matter how I cry out?
You won't stop pecking my eyes out
Until I am black and blue.

But mommy, you'll be forgotten
When your flesh turns foul and rotten
When your rise comes to a fall.
Elitist ways not yet behind you,
May your final hours remind you:
Death is equally cold to all.

its odd to read that last line as it is exactly what i was thinking about on my way to work this morning.
I think you have colourfully described a distinctively grey topic.
