Description
I drew this piece as a way to show how I see my own empathy. Empathy is a great trait to have, but sometimes that good trait can become toxic and negatively effect your life. For me, my empathy became way too much. I felt everything other people felt instead of my own emotions. If someone was having an off day, I was destroyed. I scrambled around trying to fix everyone because the pain I felt from their sadness was too much for me. I wasn't living my life, I was living a life vicariously through other people. It almost felt like taking pieces of their heart, only I took too big of a slice.
I have since gotten over this point of my life, but it's something I reflect heavily on, thus the making of this piece.
