From a distance, the composition of lights and darks gives the impression of a nebula or a distant galaxy. It is very ethereal. The texture seems like illuminated rain. Coupled with her pose, very vulnerable and precariously balanced, that rain adds a solemn quality. I find the overall effect somber and beautiful in that awe-inspiring way that true contemplation of the cosmos instills. Magnificent. Truly.
