The way that the back of her kimono drops back, and the white design in her neck reminds of a Geishas' appearance. This is amazing. I'd love to learn how to create vectors.

Very beautiful.

It gave me so many thoughts...
The lady in the artwork could be a geisha, or a princess from medieval Japan...
And I thought... how much more graceful, elegant and inspiring were people in the past... the distant past.
Nowadays we have levelled our taste, sensibility, education -or lack of them-
on a middle-placed golden mediocrity,
maybe more civilized than the abysses of past ages
but certainly below the peaks
of the very same.

And I thought... we are nothing but barbarians.

We think we can justify our pride by the few steps forward
we took in some direction,
but we forget about the many oh so many steps backwards
that our sensibility and overall sophistication
took...

Was this the inevitable companion
of democracy, wealth, technology and freedom of thought and speech?

I would certainly never praise the old times
to the point of forgetting the importance of the five above mentioned achievements
of modern day society.
But the five have one thing in common:
they levelled the average way of life and way of thinking
of most of us.

And in the process,
the majestic elegance of a woman like the one portrayed
became something exceptional,
like an endangered species,
pinned in a museum cabinet
for everyone to gasp at in awe,
between a bucket of pop-corn
and a diet Coke.

this is one of the classiest and well rendered vectors i've ever seen. the attention to detail is really well thought out and executed. I really enjoy the more vibrant colours this has, it makes the subject and mood come alive even though it's a very docile pose. Wonderful stuff
