Medusa has been roaming feral for a while. Other survivors of her barn's fire had been captured and rehabilitated, but Medusa had been content to stay out in the wild. Locals spent months trying to coax her back to a barn, but she's been resistant to capture.
Finally, having shown signs of lameness as well as illness, the efforts to capture her got more serious. She was taken to a horse rescue two towns over from where she'd been roaming, had her chip scanned and was finally identified as 2079 Let The Monsters Rise, but no owner came forward to claim her so she was surrendered to the Loshenka association's adoption program.
Though not 100% healed yet, Medusa has been cleared to travel. A representative from Grassy Knoll Stables has been sent out to bring her back to Maine for full recovery!
