Description
A 1949 film about a giant gorilla (twelve feet tall) that is brought to the US along with the young woman who is its friend. As usual things go wrong, the gorilla runs amok, wreaking havoc, and the authorities decide it must be killed. This results in the girl frantically trying to get the gorilla out of the country while pursued by the police. Eventually the plot ends with a happy ending. The film was remade in 1998 with Charlize Theron and using a much larger gorilla.
