I am not sure what you mean. Silk was featured in my previous scene. This portrait tells a story of its own, and I expect I will have more scenes with her.

Great work on the eyes. There is much suffering and a sense of exhaustion on her face. She looks quite burned out really. Maybe sad, like she missed something, an opportunity, love, people. A sense of loss, but life has to go on.

Thank you very much, but I think you could be exaggerating a bit compared to what I was intending to show. I understand the possible reasons for that though. My style is to bring out some extra detail in facial features and have subtle expressions reflecting on thoughts, in other words to make the characters look more natural, just like everybody is in the real world.
Obviously, I have familiarized myself with Silk's stories, and this is how I see her, although there is neither sense of loss, nor some others you mentioned.
I am glad you noted the eyes, which, as we all know, are crucial for portrait work.

I sincerely don't exaggerate because this is my personal feeling of your image. You're experienced and wise enough to know that once an image is published it belongs to the viewer's receptivity. There can be dozens of them(and there are here, seeing the number of comments you got!) and be different.
I'm much more receptive to what is unconsciously given than to the technical prowess, earnest work and rational approach.
I don't pretend to be right at all because there are so many truths to this picture but I believe I owe you to express how I receive your artwork, like I do with the artists I care for.

I intentionally didn't use a catch light, so had to play around a bit with the HDRI for the eyes to look right.

I'm still alive, but just not having enough freetime. With my graphics design work, our beachflags adventure and now working fulltime (six days a week) as a DHL contractor it just get's to be a bit much. But ... I decided to let go of the Monday as far as DHL. So now I have the Sunday and monday to be me

she has a sad expression but a lovely face. The bumps on her lips look are abit strong as if its been really cold and the lips are chaffed is that deliberate?

I don't exclude the possibility that she just came in from the outside. You may have also noticed that her neck is a bit bruised, although I intentionally didn't make it overly evident. I will let you decide the rest about the lips!
