Description
Singapore was going to celebrate their national independence day by the river with a fireworks display. One of my Japanese classmates, Kyoko Ueda, had an apartment with the view of the stadium. Excited, I brought all my photography gear to her apartment - tripod and all - to capture the show.

Unfortunately, the government spent all the budget last year (during the 50th anniversary), so this year was underwhelming... not to mention that Japan has a very high standard when it comes to fireworks displays. Good thing I still had a beautiful view to shoot.
