Description
GIZMO by Lizzie CoulterAt my side morning noon and night
Wanting so little giving so much
To this day we’ve never had a fight
I say his name and he smiles at me
Devoted to his death is this friend of mine
His love for me so easy to see
We share a home he waits for me to come back
When we go out he never cares where
Or how long we are gone
As long as we are together
To this day he has never given me flack
So happy to lie next to me
Sharing his warmth and comfort
When I cry he tries to ease my pain
My secrets are all safe with him
Our days together sunshine or rain
His smile is silly but warms my heart
I’ve been his from the start
How trusting and loving my friend is
A love no greater than his.

We love this doggie so much don't we? Lizzie and I both...
His history of abuse as a puppy by his owners, a redneck, hillbilly, crackerhead ignorant, stupid and no common sense kind of family...Gizmo was rescued at about 9 months on the side of a road in the rain...left for dead by his owners. A vet spent 3 months working on him and then we adopted him. He is still afraid of strangers, especially if they have a baseball cap on.
But now, at about 4 years old, he has started to gain quite a bit of muscle and thickness to his frame, and he looks very healthy doesn't he? His eyes reflect a deep soul, don't they?
