No, that's what you see through very parochial lenses. Because the word "smug" implies a satisfaction with one's opinion that prevents breadth of vision, and "otaku" generally can remember meticulous facts about a fandom, but have little capacity to analytically engage with them or be creative in their own right. Therefore, you can only see the limited things that you want to see.
If the artist calls her a devil, that's her right as the creator. You being unable to permit other visions than the ones you obsess over does not give you the right to tell her what she's made. That's not just arrogance; it's stupidity.

I disagree, I think the horns ar every well done and probably took a lot of time. 'Slapping a texutre on them' would not make them better, it would hide the detail the artist put into them.

it has form, volume etc. i do not argue there's been a ton of work input. but its left half-done. i really miss fine details to look at. they look plastic at best. all im saying artist could refine those into stronger, more real presence

I like her hands, they're cute, and the blood is awesome looking. The face is super well drawn too and I love the lil details like all the veins in the arms. Adds to the creepyness.Β
