i made another version with shading that has more colour, but i think i like this flat version with high contrast more

it would have been nice if gohan in dbs super hero got to acknowledge the fear and trauma of facing cell again (and also how piccolo accidentally thrust him into the hero rule both accidentally and purposely, though gohan wasn't aware) but i guess it didn't fit in with the movie's tone. not that modern db would take itself that seriously but you know.

feels like there were a lot of layers to gohan unlocking Beast, but all we got was the SNAP callback and boom. done.
