It's why Raytheon stayed in his advisory role. It was his curse for being just who he was--half Legion Touched, half Host Blessed--but in the end, it was his to bear. He could pull blood with gravitons to him in mere seconds, draining a person of the life giving fluid and absorbing their memories. But luckily, it only happened when his adrenaline spiked, when his cortisol was off the charts, literally when his life was in danger. Raytheon wanted to control it but the Empress simply worked on his meditation skills and repression with an unreadable expression the entire time as she worked her 'magic'.

But it'd never fully go away. This was his mark of shame.

In a way, he wouldn't change a thing. It made him who he was and for the mixed blood, that was more than enough.
