The door almost appears to be a tunnel coming out of the wall, yet there are no shadows. It subtly reminds me of the Escher stairs. Pretty cool.

I like this, but feel like I need more information on it... the expression of the main character is very ambiguous to me , and the outer areas are so intricate as to be hugely open to interpretation. faces, figures, angels, demons can all be seen with little effort.. whether by accident or design I'm not sure.
