Everyone laughed when they saw them together. He with his mix-matched clothes and tattered shoes. She with her new dress and high heels. He'd ruffle her hair, and they'd laugh it off. They didn't care. She was rich, he was poor. Her mother was dead and her father was the head of the biggest industry in the country. He was raised by a single mother who struggled with her job and two sons, his father was no where to be seen. He promised her their children would have a better life. Her father took her and her two brothers with him to his new location, and he never saw her again. He tried to find her. He married a woman, and they had three children. He got a job with medium wage. His wife was a teacher. They moved up state. They lived across the street from her. He went over to introduce himself. She opened the door. It had been nearly ten years. She still remembered. He still remembered. She'd married a bussiness man. Had two kids with one on the way. A boy came up behind her. The boy looked about ten. His eyes widened and she looked guilty. She had never told him. The boy looked exactly like him, execpt with her eyes. He walked away. They never spoke again. He wrote her a note three years from then. She cried. She wished she'd never followed her father. The boy was exactly like him. When the boy was twenty, he met the daughter of a friend from his work. They married and opened their home to another man. The son of his best childhood friend. She was invited to the wedding. He was invited to the wedding. The son found out about them. About who he was. The son planned it all. Her husband was dead. His wife divorced him and took the kids. Her kids lived with her husband's parents. They both had nothing to hold them down. They met again at their son's wedding. He with his once again mix-matched clothes. She once again with her new dress. And standing there, it was like they were seventeen again, when they could do anything, and be anything, and like they were in love and together once again.
