Kevin O'Brien aka Guardsman in MarvelNewDawn by Burningbird

After he gained his PhD Kevin started to work for Starks Industries in the exerpimental arms branch. After several years he became a trusted employee and his boss Tony Stark promoted him to his secret armour program. Kevin worked many ours on diffrent experimental armours for Iron Man. In secret Kevin worked on his own armour beeing filled up with envy over Tonys fame and sucess. Kevin thought the fame should go to the creators of the suit and not the playboy working it - totaly skipping the work Tony puts in the armours himself. One day he presents his home build Guardsman-Armour to Tony. In the beginning Tony is pleased and the Guardsman becomes his bodyguard at conventions and press conferences.
Still not feeling praised enough Kevin "moonlights" as an armoured bank robber. In a chain of uncertain events the Guardsman is stopped by Iron Man who tries to argue with Kevin but doesnt get through to him. In the end he tries to shut down Kevins suit (a failsafe he installed) but has to recognise that Kevin must have found out and tinkered with it. In the end the rigged failsafe triggers the self destruct mode and Kevin dies in his own armour. Later on his younger brother Michael seeks revenge on Iron Man.
