Sometimes you just gotta draw some mountains
I am from a cold place, and 2 years ago moved to Seattle which isn't cold at all. I don't miss the cold, but it is pretty to look at.

I so miss mountains. I moved from a desert valley, surrounded by canyons and mountains (Las Vegas, NV), to low hilly forested area clear on the other side of the continent (Ontario, Canada). Its a bit of a trade. Majestic mountains for flowers and lots of green! Both places are beautiful in their own rights, but I do miss the mountains.

This is absolutely stunning. I've been staring at the details for a long time now. This is really gorgeous piece, and for some reason I feel really calm and cozy while looking at it.

Ah, this is a beautiful sight for the eyes!
The sunlight is flowing down the chasms and valleys like a waterfall in multiple steps. The little castle at the foot of the larger one, that shines already / still in the sunlight, is a nice addition. Also these bridges add a certain graphical and connecting element. Trees and snow are always a good thing to add. Judging from the tree size foreground to middle ground I guess it must be quite some distance until you reach the castle.
One would wish you could find these fantasy landscapes and castles somewhere here on earth.
I guess this image would be a nice background on my rotated pivot screen.

I like how you slowly lead the eye upwards through the bridges'path, from shadow to light.
The light brings out the sharp, almost needle-like towers of the castle, as well as endowing it with a magical, enchanting, aura.
The reflection of the light on the snow make the sunrays feel almost real, that's amazing...
