~UPDATE: March 13 2011.Changed the file after making corrections.
This was the work I mentioned in my journal of the wolf. I love all the work put into it. It did not take overly long but every stroke was carefully thought out and done to the best of my ability.
I am fairly proud of this, but now that it is scanned, I do see some work in creating more value/detail.
-I need to darken the nose and jowls and lighten the shadow under the ear (it is way too dark
)- I also need to darken the fur on the neck where it starts to transition from dark to light.
-I have to add in more strands of hair for details
I was unable to crop the top and left side of it so there is a white line across the top and side (which kind of unbalances the image). I'll fix that when I update it with the other corrections.
Overall this has to be some of my best, and it is also a big favorite. I think I found the medium that I like to use^^

Nicely done!
The only thing that seems 'off' to me is the fur below the ear. The shapes there make it look more like feathers then fur to me.
